Project Summary
The goal of my project was create my own Major League Baseball expansion team roster. A few years ago when I first watched the movie Moneyball I was fascinated by the different ways one could look at the game of baseball. With baseball being my favorite sport, I got the idea to create my own expansion team. Creating this team, I had to follow a very specific set of rules created mostly by Major League Baseball. To pick my players I did extensive research and looked at almost every single players statistics. Once I picked my team, I ran a simulation on the MLB The Show video game to see how my team would perform. Although they did not perform well in the simulation, I learned a lot about baseball statistics, scouting, and how to evaluate baseball talent.
