I have always loved creating music, art, and dancing. I have been creating my own music for fun over the years as I remember sitting on my bed with the chunky headphones on, creating loops off of GarageBand and singing to them with horrible pitch. Listening back to these songs I made when I was much younger, really shows my love for singing as I have continued it over the years. Besides singing, dancing has always been a passion. I have been doing ballet since I was 3 and have continued with it still. Because of my love for the arts, I decided to write 4 songs, create a dance to one of them along with drawing cover art for all of my songs. Originally I was not going to create cover art for my songs, but then I realized it was something that my songs needed to feel more personal. I discovered more of an interest in my project along the way as I saw it all come together. Although most of this project was a breeze, some challenges that were present were coming up with the overall concept and theme of my songs. I wanted to have a personal, deep meaning to my songs that others could relate to. As I started to create them one by one, writing different words that were inspiring to me, a theme presented itself that was my mental health. Mental health is something that I have struggled with along with many others and presenting my story through the art of drawing, dance and song was a way for me to express my thoughts and feelings. If I ever continue with this project, I will pick up from where I left off and tell even more of my story through songs that I will make.
