Project Summary
As a gift, my aunt got me some different kinds of crystals and she told me about how they can be used spiritually and about the importance of them to her. I had never known crystals were used in this way, so I decided I wanted to learn more about them and how they are beneficial. I have always wanted to try making jewelry as well, so I took march madness as a chance to combine both of these interests and make different kinds of jewelry with crystals. I had no prior experience making jewelry, so it was a challenge to figure out how to do so. I used books, videos, and talked to friends about how I could make them and it helped me learn. Because of my march madness project, I began making other types of jewelry as well and now it is something that I enjoy doing. I have always been interested in the idea of owning a small business in the future, so I originally wanted to take march madness as a chance to try this out. Instead, I focused only on the creation of the jewelry instead of the selling. If I continued my project, I would continue to work on making my jewelry better and when I perfected them felt confident enough, I could sell some. The end result of my project was different kinds of jewelry made with crystals that interested me, along with research about the aspects of those chosen crystals.
