Developing film at Home and learning photography amid a pandemic

Project Summary

Since I was young I have always been interested in photography. When the opportunity for a project like this came up I knew I wanted to incorporate photography but also challenge myself. I decided to see what it would be like to learn to develop 35mm film at home in my basement. I had shot on film before but it was quite expensive to have it developed every time. So I began my research and bought my supplies.  At first, it was not easy and I would get frustrated that it was not coming out the way I had hoped. Over time I got the ratios of the chemicals dialed in and it was working how I would like. For my other portion of my project, I wanted to know what it was like teaching photography during a pandemic so I spoke to two teachers to get their take. Overall this was an excellent project and I am happy with the result.
