This project consists of a documentary that includes 4 interviews of food-related business owners discussing their stories of covid-19 for themselves and their businesses. My mother and stepfather own a company named StudioDB which is an architecture and interior design firm. My stepmother owns a bar and restaurant. Seeing their business during covid was very interesting to me and I noticed that in the news the closing of restaurants and business was very generalized with less detail than I imagined it should have. Seeing the inside of both my parent’s businesses I wanted to spread the word and give a look into what is happening on the inside. I decided to focus more on restaurants because they had many more regulations and reasons to close. My journey for this began with finding owners who would have time to share their stories one of which is Micheal Winsch who is a co-owner of The Bowery Ballroom and The Mercury Lounge and another Stacy Cole who is co-owner of Brooklyn Piggies.
