Project Summary
Finsite is a platform in its alpha stage aimed at Gen Z through Millennials with not much background in finance who want to learn finance. The platform is an education tool that provides accessible, interactive, and a comprehensive way to learn all the skills necessary from learning how to manage your money efficiently all the way to getting a job in investment banking.
The Goals of this Project:
- Accessible: modules present financial material is a clear and concise way so that even someone who has never learned these topics before can understand them.
- Comprehensive: the goal is to engage users through different modules that cover general and niche topics of financial literacy.
- Interactive: through the leaderboard that tracks progress through various modules, the site encourages interaction with other users and simulations for an altogether fun, financial experience.
I chose these three core values because today they aren’t found on existing finance education material. For example, the largest competitor, Investopedia, does not present material in an accessible way to a younger audience. It also is very static with the material in plain text without the interactive component of a leaderboard in addition to ads frequenting the website. Hence, why my goal with Finsite was to do the opposite, and create a welcoming platform for beginners and experts alike.
