Making a Baseball Bat

The purpose of my project was to learn how to create a wooden baseball bat. I learned how to use a lathe and other woodworking tools. I wanted to see if the bat that I made could compare to a bat that was commercially made. I had many different variables that would effect the end result of my bat. Length, weight, wood type, and handle size were all options that I had to consider when making my bat and comparing my bat to other bats. Making the bat took about six total hours between learning how to use the equipment and actually creating the bat. I recorded videos of myself using each bat to display them and show a difference in my swing with each bat. Overall I am happy with the end result of my bat and I can’t wait to use it in a game in the future.
