Painting Within Art Style Combination

Posted on May 15, 2021 by Andrew Donnell Leave a Comment on Painting Within Art Style Combination

Project Summary

Taking various art classes over the years, I learned about different ways to put paint on canvas, from impressionism to photorealism to abstract art.  I thought it would be a cool idea to combine the knowledge from different units fluidly into one painting, so my driving question was how I could do so.   This project allowed me to channel creativity and become much more passionate about painting, improving my skills along the way.  Consultants and virtual art classes were helpful and provided much-needed insight into how I could improve what I had made.  The most challenging aspect was getting started on a new painting, but outlining every aspect and setting up a workstation made it less daunting.  I will continue to add detail to my project even after the due date and work on incorporating shadows, something I also struggle with.
