Temporary Housing for Disaster Relief

Posted on May 26, 2020 by Aramis Fakahany Leave a Comment on Temporary Housing for Disaster Relief

Project Summary

The Basis of my March Madness Project was to design affordable, transportable, and comfortable temporary housing for disaster relief. I researched the current solutions for disaster relief and analyzed how I could improve them. I also looked at what had been created by architecture firms with this same goal and aimed to make my design more affordable. I came up with the concept of designing my temporary housing in a shipping container using the the most affordable yet comfortable appliances possible to meet my goals of affordability, accommodation and modernity. The goal of my project in terms of output was to create three things: a 3D digital model, realistic renderings, and a handmade physical model that were all completely proportional.
