Project Summary
Growing up, I always trained on my own time. Training with quality coaches was quite expensive, and free programs were coached by people unfamiliar with the game of soccer. I founded Youth for Youth to provide students of the game, like me, high-quality training for free. Academy training is never enough for lads who want to take their game further. Aspiring players deserve supplemental training opportunities, regardless of their socioeconomic status. With Youth for Youth, I plan to orient young players with the world of soccer, while preparing their skills and their mind for the next level.
My project went through several phases. At first, I was interested in documenting homelessness across the city. Of course, COVID forced me to change my plans. I adapted to the times, looking to my passion for soccer. I came up with the idea of a soccer ball vending machine, but eventually dropped it because it was unrealistic and hefty. Finally, about two months ago, I started working on Y4YFC.
