Youthquake: A Documentary

Project Summary

What started as a yearlong project became a lifelong goal; to make an impact through the art of filmmaking. Although I have always been interested in film, I had only ever grazed the surface of what it means to produce, direct, film, and edit a movie. In the creation of my documentary, “Youthquake,” I was allowed to break that surface and dive into my two greatest passions, film and activism. I explored the role of the student vote in politics, the duty of the media, and how I could create a compelling and artistically interesting documentary that would convey a powerful message. The process to create such a piece was not easy, however, it was incredibly rewarding. I am very proud of this film, my first of, hopefully, many, and I hope that my passion and drive can be felt through the screen.
